In the fall of 2013 the campus composting program was launched under the direction of the Office of Sustainability and the Green Fund.  The project consist of three student interns working with the Residential College Dinning Hall to compost pre-consumer food waste.  Through this initiative over 6,000 pounds of food were diverted during the 2013-2014 academic year.  Plans are currently underway to expand the composting program to the new Rebel Market in Fall 2014.
