A student green fund is a pool of money that is used for the implementation of energy efficiency, renewable energy, and sustainability projects, programs, and policies. Students who opt-in on the green fee are provided an opportunity to participate in the decision-making process that determines how the funds will be used for campus sustainability projects and initiatives. Projects may include enhancement of the campus bike infrastructure, establishment of an on-campus food pantry, installation of hydration stations, lighting upgrades, purchase of new recycling bins, and so forth.
